Ok, let's see whos done what to fix something in the middle of nowwhere... What broke, and how did you fix it? These are basically just for fixes to get you off of the trails.
One of mine...
Break: Broken D35 Axle Shaft (No Spare's)... Fix: Pulled the shaft out, removed all the broken debris, re-installed shaft, tied tree-limb to bumper and rock sliders, and drove slowly to trail head... Spares were waiting there.
Break: Busted Fan Belt Fix: Woman's Pantyhose (Slipped, but again, got me off the trail)
Break: Broken Leaf Spring Fix: Welded spring back together, and welded 7/8 craftsman wrench over the break.
Break: Busted Leaf Spring Hanger (YJ Front) Fix: Attach winch, drive home.
So, you get the idea...let's hear what you've got ;D

Break: Frame on a sandrail Fix: T-post from a nearby fence (no signs on it), duct tape, tie wire and drove another 110 miles to get home.

Stupid question......how about just a spare fan belt? Stupid questions deserve a similar response... I shredded both of them on the same day.... I carry a spare fan belt, but I've seen both get shredded in one day. Usually, a fan belt goes out becuase a idler pulley or something else seizes, and just replacing the belt will only get you so far, where as the pantyhose option, you can make a custom length belt, and possibly bypass the faulty pulley or part. OR...what if your fan belt broke, and you didn't have a spare? Pantyhose are a universal size and can be used on any vehicle.. So...BITE ME ;D

Okay, guess I have to come to James's defense here (it makes me feel kind of yucky ). But anyways, the pantyhose thing is one of the first car tips I learned from my dad. Always keep a pair in the car, especially older ones for on road usage, but I could see where it would be beneficial for almost all types of rigs on the trail. Doesn't last forever, but it can get you out of a tight spot. ;D

Break: Broke both front axle joints and tore up both the inner and out shafts on both sides in the process and blew the driver's side knuckle aprart when the ears of the driver's side shaft tried to pass each other. (We had to get the Jeep to a non-chained 4WD road somehow) So we left it over night and headed to a Junkyard the next morning bright and early and found a big Ford hood. Brough it home, welded on some loops of chain and went back out to the trail head in dad's Ford and one of the previous day/night's wheeler's. Thankfully I had already made a tow bar. Jacked it up, put the front end on the hood and put Rear CJ in 2WD. I powered the rear (Had a locker) and the Rubi pulled us with chains on rear and 2 lockers about 3 or 4 miles or so to a passable road. We might not have made it if I hadn't of had rear wheel drive. The snow was deep in the some areas and the hills were long. From there we got a tow truck to pick up the front end and pull it the rest of the way home. Worked perfectly and you should see a Ford hood strapped to the back of a Rubicon. It looks awesome and made and effective 6X6 out of 2 vehicles.

Lets see I have been lucky so far just the one break twice, on back to back outings.
Left front shackle hanger broke, both times used the winch to pull it up and back into place.
