Trail Name: Mexican Border Trail Trail Location: Nogales east to Sierra Vista Date: Saturday June 30 Meeting Location: Duquesne Rd and SR82 in Beyerville Meeting Time: 11am Dearture Time: 11:30 Communication: Trail Rating: 1.0 Necessary Items: Water A Little More Info: I am taking my wife for an easy ride on the Mexican Border Trail, see the Backcountry Adventures: AZ book (Massey and Wilson), trail South Region #12. Plan on starting in Nogales and heading east to where it connects with AZ92 south of Sierra Vista.
It's about 50 miles, 43 miles of dirt road. Passes through Lochiel, Washington Camp and Duquesne ghost towns, the Coronado Nat'l Monument, Montezuma Pass and some incredible views of the US and Mexico sides.
It's an easy drive, has to be for my Cherokee still has street tires and no lift yet. This trails ranks at 1 on the scale, but the scenery makes it worthwhile.
I'm thinking leave Nogales around 11am, arrive in Sierra Vista around dinner time. Attendees:

jeez, stupid computer at home has the wrong date. It's tomorrow the 23rd.
Just got to thinkin', in case nobody else can make it tomorrow, we will wait till next saturday to do the run, better to have at least a couple vehicles when running down there that close to the border.

I have to change the date for this run to next saturday the 30th - my Cherokee's neutral safety switch is being a problem still. Looks like I'll be spending about 200 bucks on a new one tomorrow.
