Hi everybody, I'm pretty new to Tucson (3months) and started modding my new Titan once I got out here. Back in New England my wife and I wheeled my old 2000 Nissan Xterra, which I traded in toward the Titan. I've been checking out everyones pics and descriptions of their rigs and I wanted to share the info and pics on my trucks. My previous truck: 2000 Xterra XE - Calmini 3" lift, Calmini HD Steering Kit, 32x11.5R15 BFG Mud Terrains, Black US Wheel 15x8 steel wheels, Shrockworks front bumper and sliders, Skid-row transfer case skid-plate , Yakima Load Warrior, HD 2-core radiator, HD Auto-tranny cooler Traded in for a new Titan 4x4 I drove out here from MA, pulling our enclosed trailer w/my motorcycle, a couple dirtbikes and bunch of other stuff. Then once I got here my bad case of the "mod bug" resurfaced and I started making changes to the new truck. First my wife and I made a little "test it out" run up around Reddington Pass and some of the easier side-trails (since we were alone). Then I started making it better prepared to get around the trails and do some investigating. My current truck: 2006 Titan SE, KC, 4x4, - Pro-Comp Stage1 6" lift, Radflo 2.5" Coilovers w/external Reservoir, Bilstein Rear Shocks, CST Sway-bar End Links, 35x12.5x18s BF Goodrich Mud Terrains on Stock 18x8s, Weathertech Window Visors and Hood Deflector I haven't had a chance to get it offroad/dirty since lifting it and installing the 35s, so I'm itching to hit some trails around here. Of course it's still IFS and "flex" isn't really in it's vocabulary - so it's certainly no rock-crawler ha ha ha. But I'd like to get out and see some of the great sites that you guys/gals have posted up in your trail-run pics. Hope to meet you all soon, Steve C.

First nice rig! And how do you feel about AZ pinstripping (aka.) Full length marks from out wonder full brush and branches? Those are very common on our runs unless we trim along the way, that can be done.
Look forward to seeing you on the trail ;D

Wow, that lift does wonders for the Titan. Wasn't too impressed by them stock. The lifted titan has got to be one of my FAVORITE rigs on the road today with a lift. Calmini makes a bolt on 6" lift for them, and you can run 35's out of the box...good stuff... My wife and I are looking HARD at a Titan as her daily driver, and my tow rig... ;D

Thanks everybody, I'm definitely looking to get onto more trails and more often. I was very familiar with "trail pinstriping" with my Xterra back east - in those tight New England woods the trials can get pretty narrow And from my one run up Reddington Pass and a couple of it's side trails - I've already introduced the Titan to AZ pinstriping too !! Though I'm certainly not looking to ding and dent up my truck just yet, I'm not afraid to scratch it up a bit. I've always felt that if you want to keep your ride clean and scratch-free, you should either buy a car or keep your truck on payment only. I like taking my truck places that most of the general population will probably never go and see views that they'll never see - it's what separates us from all the people who are stuck on the paved roads. I'm planning on adding more protection to my truck too, especially sliders, but I haven't been able to find anyone that mass produces them. I'm also planning on a Detroit True-trac in the next couple months, it's the only traction device available for the Titan rear-end right now (better than open, like now). 99frontierxe - I have checked out the pics you posted of your truck, I definitely dig it !! I always wanted to SAS my Xterra, but never did. Maybe they'll be a solid-axle under the front of my Titan someday Thanks again everyone, I look forward to meeting you all. Steve C.

I can build you up a set of sliders for CHEAP. I would think that you can get all the steel you would need for approx 60-70 bux.

Glad to here that you do wheel your rig on other than dirt roads. Because your right there is some breath taking views that most people will never see because they just don't go were a built up rig will go. I not real into body damage on my jeep but I know it's going to happen sometime as I push the limits of my rig. ;D

With the length of this thing, I'm conserned about rocker damage. I have seen that crazy Titan, I think it was Four Wheeler magazine that built it to compete in "Top Truck". I think the coolest part of that vid is when he dis-engages the rear drive and locks in the front and does front-wheel smoke-shows !! Thanks again, Steve C.
