Well, here it is, the infamous "trail rated" Datrupr. I am the second owner, and have had it for about 3 years now, and I love it! It is very capable off road and very comfortable as a daily driver. The current mods are very minimal, but it is slowly getting built up into a very functional off road and expedition style rig. As more mods are added I will post up here on this thread.

Yeah, Troopers never seem to get the credit they are due. Very capable and overbuilt trucks.

What Shocks are you running?
If you upgrade are you going to go for OME?

I am currently running OEM suspension with over 116K miles on it. Soon I am going to upgrade to the OME expedition heavy set up. That will give me about 1.5" of lift in the rear, and then I will crank the T-bars up and do the Ball Joint flip. I do not have any pictures of the rack on, but here it is in front of my house. When I get pictures of it on the truck I will post them up.

I do also need to make a few modifications to the rack, and I am also going to put a Hi-Lift mount on it, and add a couple of Quick Fist mounts to add a shovel.

I’m also OEM shocks and springs. I only have 76K miles on mine.
I defiantly want to get OME springs but I am keeping an open mind to other shocks.
I did a t-bar crank when I thought that I had the cash to get the springs also but life got in the way.

Well, with the wieght of the bull bar the T-Bar crank was not a bad idea. There are many options out there as far as suspension for the Troopers, but as far as price and liveability the OME is said to be the best. Also, since I am not inot serious off roading, and more geared towards expedition style travel the OME will work perfectly for me. That is also why I am going with the OME Expedition Heavy set up, I do plan on carring a lot of weight on the truck and need my suspension to be able to handle it. Go to www.expeditionswest.com and check out the write up Scott Brady did on his 98 Trooper. It also details what he has done to it.
