It's time to relax after spending an entire day of welding and cutting on Lex's rig... He also worked on my "half doors" for my truck. Both doors are cut, and one has the skin cut, and ready for me to trim it up and weld it on. He came over this morning for me to "fix" his bed from the botched bob job. I took a bunch of pics, and uploaded em, so enjoy. This morning, we started at 10am, and I was reminded of just how much work needed to be done. Didn't finish until almost 6pm. For those that have seen his truck in person, you know what I'm talking about, lol. The driver's side was pretty decent, but the bed bottom and passanger side had gaps varying from 1/8 of an inch, up to over 3/8 of an inch, and was just tacked with peices of metal... and to make it more fun, his buddy that was helping him, decided he didn't want to do it anymore. So, I welded up the driver's side, and added pieces of metal to the passanger side, and bed bottom. Lex is going to grind down the welds, then have the bed rhino lined, so you will never see the patchwork on the bed bottom. Also, he will grind the sides, and use bondo to fill the low spots.... I was just in it for the metal melting part Remember, Lex is in charge of finishing it, haha... Anyway, here are the pics. These two are progress pics on the passanger side and bed: Here is the driver's side all welded: Painted pics. Here is the pass side after all the metal filling: Bed floor: Driver's outer side: Driver's inner side:

Alright, here are my half door pics... Driver's door on the left, passanger on the right: The inside of both doors, again, driver's on the left: Here is the driver's door with the inside fabbed skin, clamped with a vise grip These will also be cut to fit a speaker in the stock location...probably will hold the skin to the door frame with pop rivets.

Hey Bob... Haven't got much done to them since I left your place. I will probably tackle them next week. I've been busy with maintenance stuff on the truck for awhile, plus Stacy had me doing ish all last week. Just yesterday, I changed the oil, all belts, rehung my entire exhaust. Today, I am hoping to fix my parking brake... Then I am headded out to Phoenix to wheel Sycamore Creek tomorrow.
