Go for it Robert. I'm planning on doing a shackle flip in the rear.

Hey guys, I haven't been around in awhile and missed out on this post.
I just sold my blazer a few weeks back and I'm starting to get a little edgy.......
Kyle, you're talking about a shackle flip. I did mine 4 years ago. I just cut the bottom out of the hanger, stuck the shackle thru, trimmed a little here and there and it worked like a charm. The one thing you need to keep in mind is towing is out of the question without a torsion bar of some sort. Even a light trailer will walk all over the place. Kinda scary when you don't expect it. Otherwise I have never had an issue. The OTR's are nice but this way is free......
As far as a sway bar disconnect, I removed my swaybar about ten years ago when I got my first lift. The springs are more than adequate for not having a sway bar. I'm not telling you to ditch yours, but keep in mind the 1st gen blazers didn't even come equipped with one so...... Again you save money for that elusive 14 bolt rear and 8 lug front end.
The steering box reenforcement kit is the bomb. Just remember to repair any cracks before you install it otherwise it's worthless
Damnit I miss my blazer!!!!! Anyway, if you have any questions don't hesitate to email or PM me. Glad to help out.
