This is still almost a month away but I wanted to get the ball rolling early so people have time to plan. W.E. Rock globe is March 30th and April 1st. I'm hoping to get a big group together to make it out for this one. Should be a damn good time. Come out and watch Saturday, go for a night run Saturday night, come back for the shoot out Sunday. Or just stick around Saturday night for the party.... www.we-rock.cc/Here is the trailer for hauling or crawling 4. It features a lot of the rigs that will be at this event. www.myspace.com/haulinorcrawlin

It should be a good time and the weather is going to be great. I'm pretty sure some Tucson Offroad members are going to be there doing recovery. Globe is about 100 miles from Tucson. Here are the directions from Globe. www.we-rock.cc/comps/07_globe/07_globe_itin.phpHope to see you there! ~Pat

Both Saturday and Sunday mornings, spectator gates will open at 9am with Extreme Rock Crawling action continuing until about 4pm each day. Sunday at 3pm, the non-stop action will come to a peak as the best teams will compete in the final round, known as the Shootout. Event spectator parking this year will be located at the Globe Drive In Theater Rock Crawling “W.E.ROCK” style, is a great event for the family, lots of action, and a safe, friendly environment will be provided. Bob - if it was run the same way as last time, there are a series of obstacles they have to run (not sure how many). Each one is rather short, but from what you can see, definitely challenging.

Cool, nice shot! Man, that course just ate my lunch! Got hung up forever on the climb, finally got over that and and couldn't switch from "gettin it" to "crawlin". My spotter says okay come forward and I dumped the clutch in third gear or something and hit that tree. When the rig settled down I had a tree up front and big rock wedged behind my rear diff, and one of the other drivers said I had a branch of the tree wedged up into my frame. After some frantic forward, reverse, forward, reverse full throttle both ways I finally got off the dang tree. Fom there I almost killed my spotter coming off that drop, and then got the front diff pinned against that bag azz boulder. By then the clock was down to like 30sec or something and I started bouncing down towards the finish cones and missed a gate. I think my spotter wanted to kill me......... and I think he can do it

I like the pics you took. I am surprised you didn't take a rock to the face with some of those shots from behind. I still think you could have shown those Guys a thing or two after watching you on the Gap! LMAO ;D Here ya go... Tons more Here

Tons more HereThanks, Those rockes were all pretty far away, thank goodness for a nice zoom lens! I did almost watch a lady get slammed by a cooler size rock that got hurled and started rolling down hill. She just stood there and watched it come at her! When it stopped about 6 inches from her she just laughed and said she wasn't sure which way it was going to go . In rock climbing and mountaineering circles, we are pretty trained to yell "ROCK ROCK ROCK" and get the hell out of the way. My wife was amazed that anyone would insure an event like that!

Bob - if it was run the same way as last time, there are a series of obstacles they have to run (not sure how many). Each one is rather short, but from what you can see, definitely challenging. The way it works is you have 4 courses to run per class Saturday and four different courses to run Sunday. The classes are Pro Modified, Unlimited, Modified stock, Formula Toyota and Rhino. They have four courses for Pro Mod, four different courses for Unlimited. Formula Toy, Mod Stock and Rhino share another four courses. They roughly divide the the total number of competitors by 12 so that each course is running at the same time. As you complete one course you move on to the next. That way there is a lot of action going on at the same time for the spectators.
