First you find a way to destroy your stock skid plates. -A wreck into a telephone pole did mine in -Next you build a nice two piece setup out of diamond plate and then decide they're too damned heavy and bulky, but indestructible -Then you start a new and get out the plasma cutter and welder and fab up a nice 1 piece seamless 3/16 skid plate that although maybe not as strong as the nice diamond plate one, it does "skid" better and is lighter and is almost indestructible. -You can paint a nice flame on it too if you like, but it's going to get destroyed on the first rock you hit, but it is good practice. 2 Piece Diamond (Only one piece shown) Both pieces of 2 piece 1 piece 3/16

Stock mounts haven't failed me yet. The rear most are counter sunka and a tapered allen head bolt was used to make it flush to avoid shearing the head off of bolts.
