Alright, been thinking bout giving away a winch. I have a solid Warn 8000 lb winch here, don't feel like lifting it, and don't want the snow to eat it up this winter. Does anyone need a winch? It works good, and stuff, but I don't need it, let me know. Of course there is a catch, the weiner that gets up here and takes it, has to be a helpful individual that can wrench along side with me. I need to do a pinion tip to my front axle.

I may be that weiner... but when did you want to wrench on yo chit?
I am going to be pretty busy these next few weekends finalizing the wedding stuff.
Lemmeno.

I need to cut and rotate the knuckles on my sas Frontier. I have time whenever, and I do have two of these winches, so maybe both of you dudes can get a free winch. I will tell you though that these are the upright winches, so they are heavy as hell and need a big mounting space. I need a week to get done with the Payson run, then the cut and rotate job can begin.

Cutting and rotating I know nothing about other than it's quite a task. Have you ever done this before? I don't think this is a one day job unless you've got some serious tools. Let me know what you've got, otherwise stuff like this gets ugly in a hurry. Did you see the post on pirate about the guy that tried a cut and turn and ended up with entire new tubes and inner C's cause the knuckles wouldn't come off until everything was so cut it was severely weakened. I've done my fair share of wrenching, however, not a very good welder. You'd also need to cut off and weld on new leafs mounts. Is the driver side mount on the center section? Shocks mounts should be fine. How many degrees are you looking to rotate? Clean looking Frontier BTW. I am assuming it's a driver drop D44 front. Is it high or low pinion? I do know a D44 can be disassembled for a knuckle turn and off the truck in about an hour flat I believe those are the M8274 winchs if they are the upright style. Yes they are huge and heavy. I had one in my parents barn which burnt down in the Rodeo fire, so..... If I remember right they are ~140 pounds each, OUCH! Carpooling is an idea.

Never did a cut and rotate, that's why I want some help. Maybe between the three of us, we could get it done in a day. But even if we don't, it would be cool to get almost everything done.

I've never done a cut an rotate either, but I think I know how to hold a grinder, and I heard weldin isn't that difficult, ;D
Haha, j/k.... I would love to attempt a cut and rotate on your rig, lol.

I'd be down. You got all the tools: grinders, welder, D44 hub tool, torque wrench, big hammer(BIG)? Any air tools? Plasma cutter? How exactly do you get the C's off without damaging the tubes or C's themselves? I know it can be done, just don't know exactly how to go about it(angle of cutting/grinding). If these winches work, I need one bad, so like I said, I'm down. I just can't be gone for longer than a day. And I know how to give it hell.
