I'm confused, in your sig it says your K5 is an 82 with a 6.5 or is it a non turboed 6.2. If it is a 6.5 then I'd suggest looking at the injector pump. The electronic injector pump on the 6.5 is notorious for going out.

The electronic injector pump on the 6.5 is notorious for going out. the k5 is an 82, the previous owner swapped in a 6.5L N/A motor.. but as of yesterday i wasnt getting any fuel from the tank into the lines at all! couldnt figure it out for the life of me. so i got an air hose and pressurized my tank a little bit, disconnected the pink wire for the injector pump (trust me, i've read to do this.. it makes it so air isnt being pumped into the system, by doing this you are trying to prime the lines and just get fuel going) so i did this, after i sprayed in some air, i had fuel flowing like a effin water fall outta the lines! i was thinking "sweet! finally getting some fuel, and making progress" but then it still wouldnt kick over! S.O.B.! but u speak of the injector pump being notorious for going out, i have kinda heard that myself. any way to check and see whether its working correctly?? im desperate!!!

If you are getting fuel up to the injector pump then the lift/transfer pump is working. It sounds like the injector pump. I can't remember off hand if there is a way you can check if the injector pump is working, it might have to be taken off and be bench tested, not sure. One thing you might be able to do is have a buddy crank the engine and you CRACK open one of the lines at the injector. Don't take it completly off, keep in mind that those injectors usually open at about 20,000 PSI, if when you crack it open and fuel starts to leak out of the fitting, you atleast know that some fuel is making it to the injector. Another thing to check...I just thought of, is the water/fuel separator. Sometimes if the separator detects water in the system it won't start. I can't remember where on the 6.5 it is located but it will be close to if not on the fuel filter. Something else to try and with the separator you don't have to crank the engine, just open the valve for a couple of seconds.

***UPDATE 9/19*** So, latest update as is follows.. started getting fuel from the tank, to the primary filter, from there to the block mechanical fuel pump, from there to the secondary filter to the injector pump.. and BLAMO! thats where she stops. pulled the IP (injector pump, just so u know) apart, since the top of it comes off, it was full of fuel! so i was thinking, sweet.. this is good, clean it off best i can, inspect it, blah blah.. put it back on, pop 2 injector lines, and try to crank it over hoping for fuel to be coming out. i got a little bit of moisture/fuel/whatever the eff it is.. so either that damn IP is F**KED! or the injector lines are clogged right there?? this has got to be it! i called Checkers to find out about the pump.. GUESS HOW MUCH THEY WANT FOR A NEW INJECTOR PUMP? $600 EFFIN DOLLARS! GOOD GOD SWEET MARY! how do these peolpe sleep at nite? i guess my dad talked to the guy i bought my truck from last week and said he could sell me a rebuilt one for $300, so thats a little better. but still! anyways, anybody got a 6.5L injector pump they want to sell me??

Get that rig runnin again. well accoriding to the guy, it is being shipped as we speak. but he is in like north dakota or something far away. so its going to take some time. it really sucks cuz the weather is so nice out right now and cruising in the k5 with just tube doors and no top is awesome!
