Hey all,
I've got about $1000 to spend on my rig. The only problem is what to buy. I'm trying to decide on fuel injection or a lift and tires. Fuel injection would be around $900 and a lift and tires would be a little over $1000. I'm also thinking about bumpers. What do you guys think?

Kyle my 02 cents, go now with the lift and tires, when you get more money then get the injection.

Okay 1000 to spend, what size lift if you go 4" are your drive shafts still good better check that out, also brake lines. you can get 33" on a stock Blazer may have to hammer the corners some but at least you would have the tires.Bumpers arn't a needed thing they just look good, fuel injection well that'll prove it self over and over.

What do you want to do with the truck? Once you figure that out, you'll have an idea what direction to pursue.
If it was me, I'd tackle less visual, but more functional, items. As I recall your truck has a cooling issue, plus the carburetion issue. Lifting it and putting bigger tires on won't help either. Also, how are the brakes? Completely up to snuff, or "it seems to stop ok?" Ever consider upgrading? Also, do you really need injection, or is there a carb better suited to the truck than the one currently installed, which would cost less than half the price of injection? Perhaps change carbs and sell the old one to recoup some money. Or perhaps do a TBI conversion with parts from a salvage yard? And what about an electric fan conversion? They're relatively simple and cheap, and you'll see gains in both horsepower and mileage. Just throwing some thoughts out there. Lifts and tires may look cool, but it's the less obvious things that ensure the truck is livable and durable.
