It was an excellent turn out and hopefully we can have a similar turn out for more projects.
I'm from TOR (Tucson OffRoad). We are a recently formed group with a small membership. In fact the 15 volunteers that turned out represents about 70% of our membership. I was really impressed by the group making that comittment.
Most of TOR was involved in loading rock, moving it to the trailhead, building the retaining wall for the parking area, "planting" the 3 smaller signs, repairing a washed out section of the road etc. The ground was full of rock and really tough to get a hole dug.
Everyone busted butt and I think we really made a positive impression on Francisco and the BLM (for now).
There were a lot of offroaders passing by as was stated. I took pix of most of the non-helpers and should post them in a "Hall of Shame" area.
