Well, as many of ya'll know, Stacy and I are getting married.
Now, comes the honeymoon part. We are planning on taking our honeymoon in May of next year, and were thinking about going to Hawaii...
From those that have been/live there, what is a good island to go to? We were thinking Maui. We will probably be there for a week or so, and were planning towards the end of May.
I would like to have recommendations for hotels, as well as fun stuff to do... like snorkeling, fishing, places to go, etc.
Many thanks in advance, I totally appreciate it.

Maui is not a bad island lots to do there...the place to go snorkeling is just south of Maui near the island of Molokai, the little island that looks like a crescent moon. You are swimming in the crater of a volcano and it is about 25 feet down to the bottom. For a vacation or honeymoon I prefer Kauai, it's less populated than the rest and very laid back. But which ever island you decide you can't go wrong they are all beautiful, I would suggest that you do make time and spend a day on Oahu and go see the USS Arizona and the USS Missouri. Sorry can't help on hotels, it was 17 years ago last time I went, but I want to go back soon.

I would also suggest kauai. I used to live on Oahu for 4 years and its way overpopulated. Been to Maui a couple times and its nice but also becoming commercialized. Snorkeling is cool, and you might also buy some cheap boogie boards and thats fun to learn together. About any hotel you can find on the ocean will be pretty nice. Usually they are set up for 90% of the balcony's with ocean view. You wont spend much time in the room so to me its not that huge of a factor where u stay, just as long as its near a beach. Make sure u find one that has a Luau. They will roast a pig underground below banana leaves and stuff all day then at night its drink and eat fest. Also, I know it sound gay but rent some mopeds and ride along the ocean front for a day, stopping for sights. Well worth it. If you have any other questions let me know.

You can rock climb on a moped right? Sorry I don't have any real info to add. But I have had a pig in the ground and it's the best pig I have ever eaten! it sounds like you should have a good time!

Oh Yeah I forgot to mention where in Puerto Rico. Check this sight out www.villamontana.com/ Dude I'm not kidden this place is amazing. 50ft from the ocean. The Island is only 50 miles wide. You can drive around the whole island and not see the same thing twice. The food is amazing. There is a beautiful rainforest on the east side of the island and the Barcardi factory is in San Juan. If you take the tour through the factory which is like 5 bucks, at the end they give you a Liter. Beaches on the west side are amazingly clean. Call me if you want to know more. I love my island lol ;D
