James you dog, moving the post and ditching the comments. Great write up let me add to it,it was great working with James on the carrier. Some of the things to look at when doing fab work have a good plan before you start saves on some of the detail work at the end.To build the carrier took 1/2 stick or 10 ft of 1 3/4 .120 wall of which with cuts and bends only about 10 inches of waste left on the floor great use of material. As for the bending and how much tube for any project,we used a bending program to plan out the project in this case we had the measurements and length's figured out before starting so no slips on the bends (it sucks to waste a stick on a wrong bend) Slick get the axles swapped and come up with an idea for what you need for a bumper and carrier.

you'll see that from time to time, you might not believe it but after you just get done welding, it's going to be hot.

yeah you're right, "hot" doesn't do it justice.

Slick get the axles swapped and come up with an idea for what you need for a bumper and carrier. I'm starting the axle swap tomorrow, and hope to have her up and running by Friday afternoon, with emissions/registration set for next Wed. Then I can start customizing!

Remember, when welding, the directions are written on the object you are working on. Don't try reading by braille (Might hurt). ;D
The tire carrier looks great! What did you use for the pivot? Looks like you used a bearing cap for the top.

The base for the pivot point is a trailer spinal.
