As far as axles go I don't really know much. Maybe you can help me out. Would the lockright work for my truck? I have a 12 bolt rear.
Thanks Kyle

Yes it would. I replied to your New Axles post in the Chevy section so there is some info there for you.

I'd be interested in the lockright. Will I need anything else as far as parts to install it?

You need some feeler gauges, diff oil, RTV, and some wrenches, that's about it.

Oooops, sorry dude. Forgot to say the lockright needs a new spring and pin kit. The pins are fine but some of the springs are all messed up from removing it. Since the 12 bolt is a c-clip axle, the lockright was removed with the carrier and ring gear in the axle which is hard to remove the springs without messing them up. I'm not sure if these are available in town or how much, but I think Summit Racing sells them for like $20 to your door. Randy's ring and pinion has them but they are more expensive. I priced it at $80 so for $100 total you'd have a working lockright with crosspin, as new they are about $250-280 plus the cost of the crosspin.

I'm gonna have to hold off on the lockright for now. I have a few other things that need to be done on my rig that are more important (like the transfer case) and money is kinda tight at the moment. Thanks for the info.

UGH, there's only one thing worse, and that's a non-parttime NP203.
