Hey guys I planing on building a rear bumber for my truck and maybe some rock sliders for my body Andy rig. As you know it's cheaper to buy in buckle. So I wanted to see if anybody else wanted to go in on some steel with me. Let Me know. I was thinking about starting this project next month. So I'm asking now so that if you guys have any projects in mind you can work it out and let me know.

Bumper, slider's and maybe a cage, depening on what it goes for, I wanted to use DOM, so it's be all but bullet proof.

DOM not bad. The only thing is that you can only get DOM from phonix. When I was build my sliders I looked into DOM for them because I wanted bullet proof sliders. But I talked to a few guys about it and they recommend to make my sliders out of 2x2x3/16 square Tubing, and there super strong. I had my douts but one trip to the Gap and that was it they REALLY worked. DOM is sweet for your roll cage but don't waste the money on the slider. You have to remember DOM is $$$$$$$$$ money and if you have to get it from Phonix add a few $$$ to that bill.
Anyways my run will most likely be to santa rita steel unless I can find it cheaper else where.

I thought that they had DOM too, I have also been looking at a cage from these guys I am putting money away for it, since they don't have DOM here I might as well get that cage fist then do the rest of the projects. So I think I will hold off on that run till I get the cage fist. Here is what it looks like the picture is not working www.spydercustoms.com/index2.phpThis place has it for a decent price www.redrock4x4.com/shop/products/1372.html

Na bro your sliders don't have to be DOM. Dude Poison Spyder is awesome if i had a jeep that would be the way I would go.

When were you planning on building some sliders and stuff? We can do a fab day down here if you want. I have a 2 car garage, that works really good as a shop, when you move the vehicles out... I have a mig welder, drill press, bench grinder, 6 ton shop press, angle grinder, chop saw... plus a shitload of hand tools. Still waiting on the compressor (on the wedding registry, lol), and a plasma cutter. Newayz, just thought I would throw it out

Now that is what I call good wedding gift ;D,
Not sure when I am going to have the money for the other stuff, I really want that cage so my but is protected. I was thinking that it would of been a lot cheaper to get the steel then fab up a cage but may be not, so I might be better of just getting that Poison Spyder one. Then I will have a good base to add too.
With the wife being pregnant and not working money is a little tight. But I have my locker sold at the end of the month so that will go to my cage fund and what ever else money I can put together.

Will it depends on if I can get people to go in on some steel I know Andy is down and maybe Bryan. So well see I'm currently really strap for cash this month. But I'm sure next month I should have some cash left over. I'll let you know in a couple of days on what day in Sept.
Tomorrow I will post up all the steel I'm going to need. So if you guys are down. Start putting your orders together.
Greg I'll call you in the morning for directions to your house. And I think having Fab Day at you house is pretty awesome. That would be really cool of you.
