Ok I have been thinking to night...yea it happens sometimes With all the carnage that we had on the last easy run and the breakage of the 2 turdy 35s on Virtual Jeep I think we should have some type of game plan on who has what to bring if some one should break. Now I know that James (archangel) normally goes out with more than the necessary stuff for his rig, and tools to get other back on the trail. We should make a list of who has what they can bring on this run if we are going to run the back roads to Mt. Lemon. Then that way we can gauge what were able to fix and limp home. In the last few runs we have had we broke 1 drive shaft Hard brake line Hydro-ed engine Killed a battery Killed a wench I am sure I have missed a few things. James has put together a nice list of things that should be with you but not every one has that stuff due to it won't happen or what have you. I just think that we as a group should have carry a few more extra things just in case.

That is a good idea, but the thing about this group is that everyone pretty much has different rigs. Only certain things would be universal for all vehicles like an extra battery, etc... For the most part it is the responsibility of the person deciding to run the trail that brings what he/she thinks they will need. But if you have anything extra and you think it may benefit you or someone else, by all means bring it along.

I agree, I'm sure that not many people would have spare parts for the blazer. I think that if you feel that there might be a chance of something breaking on your rig then it would probably be a good idea to bring spare parts. Also this trail should be easier than the Gunsight run. I will probably do a pre-run of the trail just to make sure.

I like this idea, but I really don't see where there was a problem on the last run to gunsight because nobody got stranded, and no runs to the city for parts were made. As far as tools go, I hope every rig carries their own. As for parts, there is just too many varieties of vehicles on each run.
I do think that we should make a prerequisite check list of what each vehicle should have on them on all runs as well as some suggested items. I think that the Tucson Rough Riders do something like this.
You know.... come to think of it, a list of spare parts wouldn't be such a bad idea. K5 and I both have the same axles and probably the same distributor and coil. It would be good to know that we are covered between the two vehicles. Same goes for the Jeeps. Who has the spare Dana 35 shafts? ;D
