Had my cover cleaned and called about it today and the shop told me that it had a crack in it, its for a 401 amc motor, i think that j-b weld makes stuff to fix it or am i wrong, it is alumunium [sp], i will pick it up tomorrow so i really don't know whats cracked. anybody else have any thoughts . thanx

I really depends on what part is cracked. I think J-B weld may work on the front portion until you could get a new one. But I do not think that I would trust it around the bolt holes. Just my 2 cents.

I agree don't trust the JB on a part you have the time to fix or replace.Fine someone to weld it for you of coure that depends on the crack and location of it.
