Woot! I found a axle today, it was off in the distance while my buddy and I where talking, so I said hey what the hell is that axle doing there? So buddy says, take it, it's been there for ever. I knew right away it was a leaf spring d44 unit with a low pinion passenger drop punkin. But, it has 6 lugs! Ok so what d44 axle has six lugs, passenger drop, and is leaf sprung over the axle? Maybe a Chebby, but spoa?

Cool, maybe I will use it to replace my driver side front d44, then a nice dual case setup will be easy because passenger drop cases and adapters are everywhere.

I will sell the waggy axle when I get the swap going. I jsut spent a bunch of dough getting th e waggy front rebuilt with a new locker. Had to have the 513 gears re set, so I am going to keep this axle in there for a while, but I will post up when the time comes.

It's going into my sas Nissan Frontier. I have a waggy axle in there now, and it is drivers side drop. The new axle is a '77 Chevy half ton, or Blazer axle. I looked up the BOM number with some help. It is a passenger drop, and th plan is to put a Yota top shift case into the rig using a OTT divorced adapter. I will have the 4.7 Marlin Crawler gears in it, and a twin stick setup. Also going to use a FROR crossmember to hold it steady. My Nissan tcase has a 4 to 1 gear set from Calmini, so my final drive ratio will be about 300 to 1. ;D
