What was the need for a new Forum, Tucson-Off-road?
Why not use Wheeling Arizona... Its Tucson based.

The reason for a new forum is that it is a local forum. We want to keep it somewhat small so everyone knows each other. On wheelingarizona there are so many people that it is hard to organize anything, at least from my experiences.

On WA we have: Gila Valley 4Wheelers and Ray Wheelers Forums for smaller groups.
I havent noticed a need for a Tucson group, or a Sierravista group. We could add one, Erich might let you be the Admin if there was a good need?
A phoenix group would be redundant of the AZundertakers and CrawlinAZ forums..
You want more tucson specific trail runs? Thats cool, but I havent found many good Tucson trails... We are traveling to go wheelin so it nice to have a board were some guys are locals and guys are traveling form Tucson.
Sierra Vista and Bisbee have a few cool trail the locals will show you. Mammoth has many great trails, some needing private land access, you need to know a local. Florence junction and table mesa the Phoenix guys know well, but so does everyone else...
I see your new forum over lapping with the existing WA forums, in both location and content. In my oppinion it would be best to merge more AZ forums rather then create new ones. Rough riders, AZVJC... IT would be nice to be connected. different moneys for the same server is an issue but that could all be resolved.
good luck, I guess.

Traveling is a problem for me simply because of gas prices. I have V8 in my truck so good gas mileage is non-existent. I have found some pretty fun trails around Tucson. If this forum doesn't work out maybe I'll take you up on the offer of a Tucson forum on WA.

I'm relatively new to Tucson, and as Kyle said, gas is an issue. I'd prefer to stay local, and have found quite a bit to explore around Tucson. Not just trails either, but places I wouldn't dare take my '05 Scion tC! I don't have the cash to build a hard-core dedicated off-roader, but don't want to strike out on my own exploring either. This forum seems ideal to me, but I might be the minority. Just my $0.02.
