I am looking for info on CB radios. Brand, price, and place to buy one. I am looking for just 4x4ing There are alot of different options out there, and honestly, the best place in town to look at varying models is going to be the TTT truck stop on I-10 and Craycroft. There is a CB shop out back there, and the guys are always friendly. You can get a radio anywhere from 30 dollars to 200 dollars, with a few higher than that. I'd stick with a little less expensive unit, and I'd also stick with a name brand. I'll be buying a new one when I my M-38 comes online, and I am going to go with a Cobra 29 LTD Classic. Old school, but those radios work awesome. Regardless of what CB you get, make sure you pick the right antenna as well. You can have the best radio in the world, but if its not matched to the CB, your not going to "get out" very far. Finally, make sure you get the right cable. It should be a minimum of 18' long. Yea, I know you don't need one that long for a TJ, but the length plays a big part in tuning the radio. Anyway, hope that helps...
