Hey all. I'm a retiree living in PA from May-December and starting this year in Green Valley from Jan-April.
I just purchased a '77 CJ that was known as the "Dragonfly". I've not seen it yet, other then pics, but plan to fly out there HOPEFULLY the week of the Saturday Night Special ride, that I plan to join, to take delivery. It appears to be setup very well for rock wheeling but I'm having a few mods done to make it better.
My rock wheeling experience is limited to a couple rides near Phoenix in a friends Jeep - what a GAS! Back east I've done a fair amount of off-roading with dune buggys, jeeps, motorcycles, and the like. It would be great if I could hook up with someone during the week before the night ride to teach me the finer points of western rock wheelin and give me a feel of the capabilities of my CJ.
I'd also like some advise on what tools & spare parts to carry. I have everything listed under "Highly Recommeded Equipment" for the night run, but I'm not certain what kind of tools & parts should be in my tool box because nothing about the CJ is stock.
Looking forward to breaking my new (to me) ride in.

Looking forward to breaking my new (to me) ride in. First, allow me to begin by saying, welcome to TOR. There is a vast amount of experience and community here. There are varying levels of rigs and drivers, and regardless of your experience, we are always glad to help any way we can. I'm almost always available during the week in the evenings. Since I'll be working on my M38-A1 getting it buttoned up for the run, I'll be out in the garage anyway. Your more than welcome to stop by or call me anytime.

Welcome to TOR ! There are several of us that are free during the week if you're up for a quick 4-wheeling trip. There are plenty of places to try out your "new" rig. Just drop me a quick email and let me know if you're up for it. I'd strongly suggest you trying out your jeep before the night run, just in case....If you like I'd love to go out with you and do so.

What do I need in the way of permits? I tried the link under "Land Use Permits" but it doesn't work.

Looking around some more on your great website I found this info. Nicely done! Thanks
