It is about a 4 hour run that goes from about Patagonia to Amado. It's probably only a 2.5 or 3 in a handful of places, but that's only because the difficult passes are wide so you can choose easy paths. It was beautiful, especially if you take a 2 mile detour to Josphine Canyon. I went in my 89 Yota with a little body lift and 33's--otherwise stock, and my uncle went in his new Rav4. Starting in Patagonia going to Josephine Canyon , a car can actually make it, though I wouldn't recommend it. After that, once you get on bullsprings road, at least now, no way. I had no trouble at all, but with the rain the past summer, the Rav4 was on 2 wheels numerously. It was hilarious to watch. It was usually the driver's front and passenger's rear that were up. I loved it. Anyhow, there are some steep climbs and even if it's not the most challenging trip, it's worth it for the scenery. Also, there are about 10 abandoned vehicles out there...one second gen bronco. s111.photobucket.com/albums/n159/gruveb/?action=view¤t=MOV00168.flvs111.photobucket.com/albums/n159/gruveb/?action=view¤t=MOV00119.flv

I had to loan a jack to a Coyote smuggler on that road to get his Vehicle out of my way.....Tons of Drugs and illegals on that trail. We called the Border Patrol....They were busy Make sure to go armed and in a group....its not the safest of areas.

We didn't see anybody past Josephine Canyon actually. I usually carry my 357 Sig with me four-wheeling just incase...not that I ever plan on using it...but if someone that wants trouble see that I have it, the idea is that I hope they decide to look elsewhere.
I also don't think there's been too much traffic out there recently because there was very little trash...which usually is abundant in active areas.
