Hey guys, I got a buddy who just picked up a new '07 Jeep Wrangler. Where do you mount recovery points on the stock bumpers? Are there hooks (or places for 'em) on the frame? I tried looking the other day, but didn't see anything obvious. Just throwin it out there... Help me out

Just looking at the pictures I've seen of the 07's, it looks like there are a set on top of the frame rails like in earlier models, but I could be mistaken, I haven't had any hands on experience with the new Jeeps.

From what I've read and seen, you've got two options for tow hooks on the front of a JK. Some JK's come with factory tow hooks, which are integrated into the front bumper. There is no way to remove them other than taking off the entire bumper. I've found a couple of photos to illustrate what I'm talking about... From what I can gather, the only real option would be to purchase either the factory bumper that has the tow hooks as an option or an aftermarket bumper. Of course, that's only if you want to retain the factory look. I'm sure there has to be a way to integrate a tow hook or two into the front of one. Not really taking the time to look at one in person, I'm not exactly sure how it could be done. Anyway, hope this helps. ;D
