Ok, so I've been trying to replace the alternator out of my 91 integra so I could drive it around as my daily driver. Well needless to say that great company designed the engine bay so that an item that is expected to eventually need replacing won't actually fit out of the engine bay once the engine is installed. Now it's recommended that the easiest way to get it out is to pull the driver side front axle out so it will fit from underneath. Needless to say I'm frustrated as f**k and want to burn the god forsaken car to ashes. Right now I can't get the lower control arm to separate from the ball joint, which I'm told will come loose if I hit it with a hammer, but it's not.

What year is the said Acura??? A few months back i replaced an alternator on my buddys 97 Acura CL and all we did was remove one pulley off the side of the engine and pulled a line going to the a/c unit and with a little force we got it to come up through the top... dont know if that will help at all but good luck with it, i hate cars.
