Just ran across this thread in AZVJ and I thought it was a great idea what they are putting together the name speaks for it's self. It's a network of people who are willing to come and help get your broken junk out. People that have equipment i.e. trailers, quads, vehicle's capable of pulling someone out or at least getting them out of said place. Here is the link for those who want to read it AZVJ thread

Thats a great idea and very similar to something we had in AK. We attempted to start that here, but it was removed due to lack of interest. I believe we could start it again. Unfortunatley though, some folks are hesitant on giving out personal information on the net... if this is something that we want to do, let me know, and I'll start the thread and get it going. I'd be willing to maintain it as well. We could call it
Tucson Off-Road Search & Rescue
I'd be willing to offer my services and my rig to anyone that needed help. We would need to start a list of people willing to help, equipment available and experience/skills offered.
If your interested in getting into this, please PM me your information and what you have offer. I'll put all of this into an Excel spreadsheet and host it from my server. Anyone who wants it can print it out.
Thanks, James

I think we need to have a banner at the top of our home page that people can click on with all the info on it. I wouldn't call it Search and Rescue because it would give the wrong impression. We are not all CPR and EMT qualified and some situations may require that in a search and rescue situation. I would call it VEHICLE RECOVERY or OFF-ROAD ASSISTANCE TEAM.
