Are you gonna lift it at all? Eventually. There's a shackle flip for the rear which can either bring it up 4 inches, or allow me to remove the factory block and possibly gain a little. If I lift it using the shackle flip and keeping the factory block, then I'll have to raise the front end somehow.

I was actually getting ready to go outside and put the wheels back on the '84 and work on getting the axle out. I'm off Thursday through Saturday every week, and every other Wednesday off.

Looks like I either need to split a ball-joint somewhere, or pull the pitman arm. I don't have tools for either, unless I can get the axle moved enough to get one of my three jaw pullers onto the pitman arm. Oh, and it looks like 3.55 gears. Not the greatest for off-roading, but will have to suffice until I can afford 4.56s. Thankfully the NP241 has a nice low gear, though not as good as the Rubicon's. Guess I need to start watching the junkyards too.

Popping the ball joint is the easiest I'll bring the tools in the morning.3.55 and 31's will be an okay start,I've been running 3.54's now for a few years I need to find some 4.10 Ruby gears for mine.

Ok, aside from popping a ball-joint and sliding it off the god-aweful rear hangers, the only thing left on the '84 to do is disconnect the brake line. Would have gotten more done except today was the day of the ever-ringing phone! Somedays I regret all this technology.

Ok, thanks to Bob the axle swap is done!! It was not without its hitches though, like having to swap the leaf springs after doing the swap, and the front left spring perch will need to be changed before long. Possibly before I even get new springs, from the looks of it. But, it is done, and it should be fully functional. Have to get it out and test it a little. ;D Again, big thanks to Bob!!!

I'll still get out there, but I want to at least replace the bolt soon. As long as I don't get crazy it should be fine. I don't do crazy things like try to climb vertical walls and such.

Ok, went out yesterday after a hard day workin and played a little with the RamCharger in a spot picked by rstep. Keep in mind, this truck is currently all stock with original worn out springs.... Trying to make it spin tires. She just digs in and goes. Checking clearances. Checking flex, bad approach. Flexed out. The rear bumper is 6 inches off the ground. And no, we still couldn't get the wheels to spin.

Do to the 4 wheel gods, just came across a spring mount for Robs rig. The issue with RC's is they ran two size bolts for the spring eyes haven't figured out what years the changes take place but they are an issue. Any way very soon Robs rig will be fixed.

Yes, the Gods of 4 wheeling must have been smiling! I'm anxious to get my rig completely up to snuff, and am quite fortunate for Bob's neighbor's misfortune. I'm still wondering how that kid did that kind of damage, though after seeing the Cherokee on Saturday, I guess anything is possible if done wrong. Just need to figure out a place and time for mounting it up.
