Anyone have any projects or fab work they would like to do in April?

Not that I can think of off the top of my head. I will be doing a body lift for a F150 for a friend sometime... maybe after Easter weekend. I wanna do that spring over conversion, but don't have the extra $$ for drilling/tapping my steering knuckles. Let alone the SOA kit, new steering, etc... But I'll help melt some steel if anyone has any projects they want/need done too

I still need to separate my engine/trans to see if the freeze plug is bad. I finally got some free time last weekend and go to the point where I don't know what I'm doing.
I've been thinking about throwing the 8.8" in too.

So Bob, with you leaving the club, are you still planning on doing tech day, or should we find another location?

No plans to leave the forum. There's no reason we can't have a tech day still waiting on dates from people that would be good for those needing help.

I should be in for the tech day as long as it's not this weekend promised my wife I would spend it with her since she has been gone for the last 2 weeks one since this dang place would not turn on the air and our daughter got a heat rash then the 2nd week her grandma came down from Colorado. Now that she is back I have a 4 day weekend to spend with her ;D yea I still enjoy spending time with her after 5 years of beening with her. ;D

pulling my amc 20 out , have new yoke, pinion seal, and nut. need an in.lb. torque wrench to re-set pre load. Have new trac-loc clutch kit to install. Any good ideas on compressing springs for installation? Would also like axle tubes welded to hsg. 4 (1/2 in.)welds per side. Possible tech day project?

Here's an article I've run across for the Trac-lok assembly. Looks like a PITA to me! Trac-Lok assemblyI've got to find them, but I do have an inch-pound as well as a foot-pound torque wrench. I need to do the pinion seal on the '92s rear axle, so that might be a good tech item you've got.

I just ordered a couple of brake line locks from Jeg's. I am gonna install em, and use em for my parking brake while on the trails. 4 wheel parking brake, YEAH, lol. So, if they get here by then, I will need help installing em. These are what I got: Jeg's Line LocksI will probably have to pick up the brake lines and adapters/fittings to install em in the truck. I need to get rocker switches, as well as fuses.

I didn't notice in the description if those are locking electric solenoids. If not, then you likely need voltage supplied to keep them activated, making them perfect if the vehicle is running, and a drain on the battery with the motor off.

I believe they draw less than 1 amp to maintain. My buddy has em on his buggy, and says for wheelin use (which is where I am gonna need em), it isn't a problem. He accidentally left em on in his garage for a week, and the truck still started up. Plus with my Optima battery, and the soon upgrade to duals, I am not too worried about it

Unfortunately, I found out late last night that I HAVE to go to Flagstaff to help my inlaws pack so they can get ready to move. So turn some wrenches for me, and we'll figure something out sooner or later, lol.

Pretty much finished my axle projects already. Doing other stuff underneath while axle and gas tank are out. Would like some cool front and rear bumpers fabbed up sometime though. But gotta take care of other issues first.

A bearing exploded in the rear end which caused me to lock up at 40mph on 22nd street. It was a fun ride
